    History

    Kingdom Hearts Union χ

After the catastrophic event that separated the worlds, a place called Daybreak Town was flooded and most of the ruins were hidden underwater. A group of people who survived the catastrophe built on the ruins and eventually became a city called Ladder to Heaven.

Founder of Ladder to Heaven Maestro Ephemer

The people of the city were aware of their previous home and its destruction, as there is an interactive mural that tells the story of the destruction of Daybreak Town and its replacement by Scala ad Caelum. A statue of Ephemer was built in memory of him as the first keyblade holder and to build the city. It also became the new training ground for the Keyblade Masters, two of whom were Xehanort and Eraqus.

Brain suddenly awakens in the city after the disaster and meets a hooded figure named Sigurd, where he takes him to headquarters to explain what it means to be here. They both notice Ephemer's statue, where Brain says he knows who he is and is happy to have a strong friendship with him.

Antes de Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep

In their youth, they played a board game similar to chess: Xehanort uses black and gold pawns for the Thirteen Seekers of Darkness; Eraqus uses white and silver pawns for the Seven Guardians of Light and the Dandelions.

    Chess game

At one point, Xehanort talks to Eraqus about "his Master's favorite story": the First Keyblade War. But Eraqus feigns ignorance when Xehanort convincingly conjures up the "lost" Carriers, who were at the origin of this war. Xehanort then looks at the Innomite and talks about the conclusion of the War: "The war in that place will lead to the defeat and destruction of the Light. The World will be shrouded in eternal Darkness." But Eraqus then tries to convince him that the Light was always more complex than it appears, including the "Light of the Past". Xehanort can't help but be curious about this possibility.

After Xehanort's defeat against Eraqus, the latter proposes a new game in which they are staged: seven black and gold pawns, for the Master of Masters, Luxu and the Augures, and a single white and silver pawn for Sora.

    Kingdom Hearts III

In the Necropolis of the Keyblade, after Xehanort remakes the sword χ and Xehanort's opening of Kingdom Hearts, Riku and King Mickey bring the idea of the old Master's Time Travel power to "trap him out of the world. Time and Space ". As Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Mickey, Xion, Roxas, and Lea open Xehanort's portal, Sora, Donald, and Goofy volunteer to defeat Xehanort once on the other side, leading them to Scala ad Caelum.

    Xehanort's Final Armor

The trio begins by exploring the main citadel and notices what appears to be Replicas of Xehanort, appearing in many different locations. After defeating them, Xehanort finally appears, describes Scala ad Caelum as the source of the Power of the Keyblade and all the worlds of the Kingdom of Light, and begins to absorb their Replicas to don a gigantic Keyblade Armor, and with the Innomite. as a weapon. A great fight ensues, where Xehanort seems capable of completely distorting the reality of this world in the Trio. However, Sora breaks Xehanort's armor and the fight continues on top of the main citadel.

For his final battle with Sora, Xehanort finally wields the Keyblade χ and manages to defeat him using the power of Kingdom Hearts. But the chosen young man of the Keyblade manages to recover with the help of Donald and Goofy, which causes the defeat of Xehanort.

Xehanort hands over Keyblade X to Sora.

Despite his defeat, the old Master remains clinging to his positions, until Eraqus's heart, having survived in Terra's body, persuades him to capitulate. Finally, Xehanort acknowledges his defeat and gives the Keyblade χ to Sora, to "reward him", before joining Eraqus in the afterlife. Sora used Keyblade X to close Kingdom Hearts and the Seven Guardians returned to the Necropolis of the Keyblade.
